I signed up after seeing the introduction for Ghosts batch 2, and missed it, of course. Any idea when we will be able to order for batch 3? Do you plan to do a pre-order or poll to match the batch size with demand? I really want one!

Me too, Me too!!! I bought a Prismatic Wall last week, but it’s going up for sale as soon as I get my order locked in for a Ghost. And probably the same with my Generation Loss mk2 for a Ribbons.

I was pretty devastated to have not received an email about Ghosts despite ordering a Sparks from Kinotone whenever that was announced… so I am also interested to know about a third batch! Is having an account here the best way to be notified?
The only thing Jaak has said about a batch 3 is that it is coming sometime in 2026. Note that the first 2 batches were units that were already built/mostly built so that’s why they were able to go out as quickly as they did. Kinotone consists of only two wonderful humans that do everything when it comes to making these devices.
Historically being on this forum is the best way to get notified that there is some sort of batch/pre-order/b-stock sale/thing to buy. I don’t know if they are working on a different system, but I’d not bet on it. You can read up on making sure your notifications are setup properly here. There’s also a known “issue” that if you have a forum window open and active, you won’t get the email notification for Announcements. That’s (from what I understand) just how these forums work and isn’t something that can be adjusted.
Lastly, I’m not a part of Kinotone, but like to consider myself a fanboy of both Jaak and Hannah. So you can take everything I’ve said with several grains of salt.

Hmm… If this is a “feature” of the platform this forum uses, are there specifics about how they determine if one is active? Like, if one has posted in the past X hours, if you have a tab you browser point at the URL or an app open to the forum? Seems counter intuitive to exclude “active” members, if their activity is less frequent then the time take to miss an announced event. Seems to me announcements shouldn’t be dependent on activity.
If anyone knows, please post. In the meantime, I’ll see if I can find anything out.
There are so few physical modelling synths on the market, the fact its pedal sized and super affordable is awesome. I’m probably scooping one too if possible
Man! I missed the preorder by like an hour. Even got on the possible cancelation list. I know alot of people are excited for this, I am too. But why does it seem like so many were ordered just to scalp them! I hate it. I know, if you bought it it’s yours, do what you want. Some of us actually want to use it though. Hold up, I think I’m reading it right. Are you asking if you missed batch 3? If so no, I’m pretty sure they said they’d do another batch after the new year. Probably after sparks. I missed batch 1 and 2. I first saw it and thought, that’s pretty cool, but didn’t order. A couple weeks later I think to myself, screw it I’m gonna order one. Hopped on the site to order, BOOM out of stock. Check the forum and they had posted like an hour or two before I got on that batch 2 was closed. At the time I was more interested in getting an order in for sparks. So at least there’s that coming soon.
That was just a little rant I posted cause I’ve been checking reverb daily for ghosts listings, which has been few. But EVERY ONE OF THEM is like $700 to $1000. Which was the last one I saw on there. $995. That was yesterday, that which sparked my rant lol. Scalpers man, always, anything, all the time.

there’s a post on the “2nd Batch” thread that describes how to adjust your notification settings on here. We as Kinotone community ought to receive the earliest announcements as to when it occurs. With the settings prescribed, the only way you won’t see a notification is if you keep this forum on one of your tabs.
I share all the anticipation and excitement that you describe, and I assure you that you are not alone. I’ve also had to steady myself and accept that it’ll happen when it’s meant to be.

Now with AI agentsI’m afraid we’re seeing a newer generation of bots which can be programmed to sit idly, waiting for the right trigger (e.g. receipt of the email) to swipe the smaller vendors’ online stores.
