The keyboard is from Kinotone too? I had no idea there would be multiple products announced. That is a beautiful looking device.
After zooming in to see it better I noticed the little Drukqs thumbnail. So I’m sticking with my guess of something along the lines of Tension or String but with features aimed at sculpting prepared piano sounds.
I’m really interested and checking YouTube — just waiting for someone to post some related video.
I think so. That makes it lean WAY more towards sound source, especially with the keyboard plugged into it. May a spectral POG (EH) type of morphing tracking oscillator that is also a full synth or poly tracking guitar effect?
Still curious about the orange circle. Is it masking a small oled display? Strange one for me.
Seems to be some kind of resonator like the EAE Prismatic Wall on steroids? jumping to other voicings for the tuned delay lines via the two touch options while playing and additionally the mic+that contact field could mean it could also do something like the MengQi Wingie? Would be absolutely crazy
I posted a question in the comments. I’m really hoping that you can use it with an audio source. The way it was described is that you can tap the oval or you need a midi controller.
Kakoguzmanmusic posted close-ups of the pedal and there definitly is a stereo input on the right-hand side, so it looks it can treat audio source indeed. Now we just need the name of the pedal and its release date
I saw those pictures (facepalm). I guess all the talk about the midi controller and tap surface blinded me.
This is very good and exciting news. I don’t feel like I need another keyboard, but the scarcity of anything Kinotone and the likely regret later when I realize how cool it is will probably move me to grab it
Will the new products be able to load scale tunings other than 12-equal-temperament? Most of the music I make isn’t in 12-equal, it’s in either just intonation or in divisions of the octave that aren’t 12-equal.
I have a Sparks and several Ribbons and am a huge Kinotone fan. I’d be really saddened to not be able to use the new Kinotone models.
Seems like the effect will be akin to something I used to do when I was recording in a studio. Press the piano keys to the root chord of the song, hold the sustain pedal down, play the song back through monitors, and record the sympathetic frequencies of the piano strings with a PZM mic. If that’s what the pedal is, this will be so much easier and cleaner. Again, can’t wait to hear it.
