Sparks troubleshooting

On my Sparks pedal When the gain control is up, the distorted signal slightly leaks into the clean channel when the pedal is bypassed. This means there’s always a fuzz in the background even when the pedal is off. Is this a fault with my pedal?

I havent experienced that with my sparks, so when the footswitch to the right is dis engaged and no light then you still can hear the pedal??.

I’ve never experienced this before either. Sparks uses an analog switch to toggle between dry and wet and there shouldn’t be any audible bleed.

My initial suspicion is:

It’s possible you’re not powering the pedal correctly, resulting in the internal power converter to sag. This would cause the clean/bypassed signal to be distorted. Are you using a 9V PSU that can source >300mA of current?

If that doesn’t have any impact, it would be helpful if you shared more information about your setup so that we can help you troubleshoot. Maybe you could share a video with us?

Whatever the issue is, don’t sweat it. If we find something is up with your unit we will repair or replace it for free.
