When can we have some? Couldnt find info anywhere, not on the product page, nor here. Why so and when could we expect it?
Hey there!
Thanks for posting. We’re taking a short break from Sparks until later this year.
While we deeply love Sparks and think it was extremely cool and innovative (it’s technically the first-ever digitally controlled analog stereo drive in a compact enclosure), the initial response was rather lackluster (we barely received enough orders to fund the first batch). Because of that, we’ve decided not to prioritize it as highly as some of our other projects.
In addition, manufacturing Sparks is truly a labor of love—each unit has about 600 components, all of which must be thoroughly tested to ensure everything works correctly. It’s very time-consuming, expensive, and requires significant upfront costs that we’re not ready to risk right now, given the initial demand.
That said, we’re hoping we can muster the energy and funds to do another batch in the fall after our next two releases. Keep an eye on the forum around then for updates.
Thanks!
I’d be very keen for the next batch of sparks. Could there be a waitlist we could put our names on?
Thanks for the update. I’m also quite interested in getting on a notification list when/if you do the next Sparks batch. If being on the forums mailing list is it, then great! Excited to see what is in your pipeline this year!
Would also love to join a waitlist! Sparks is incredible.
So how many total Sparkses are in circulation right now?
Between the initial pre-order and our December '24 sale I think ~250.
We don’t have a waitlist. If we deem something “announcement” worthy we’ll post about it in the Announcements category which sends an email to all forum users. This is reserved for things like stock updates, new firmware, a new product, etc.
So you should be notified when we do make more Sparks and post about it. We always try to give forum users a nice early access window any time we have a restock.
Count me in, as well (I know we’re not counting, but just wanted to voice my interest - it’s awesome!)
I just found out about it and would love to put my saxophones through it. So versatile and powerful!
Excited to hear there’s two more pedals in development
I’m also looking forward to getting a sparks (through thepedalzone) whenever it’ll be abailable again! Amazing work!!
250? I have unit #315 that I bought at Perfect Circuit in Burbank where I work. Was the numbering different for that batch?
The SNs go a bit past 300 but that includes ~40 beta units and a decent collection held back for spares and repairs.
