[Sold Out] Ribbons B-Stock Sale Monday November 11th

Hi all,

We have a small number of grey B-stock Ribbons with the new 2.0 firmware that are all packed up and ready to ship.

These will be for sale in our webstore this coming Monday November 11th at 11 a.m. CT.

  • We will not be announcing this sale in advance on social media. Hopefully that allows forum users who are interested in Ribbons and may have missed the pre-order to pick one up.

  • B-stock is $379. Shipping is free for US orders and anywhere else is $45.

  • B-stock units are tested to the same standards and hold the same warranty as brand new devices but may have minor cosmetic imperfections.

  • “What do you mean by minor cosmetic imperfections?”
    Scratches, slightly imperfect paint jobs, and a few misprints where a tiny portion of a letter is missing. These just didn’t quite make the cut as A stock but we still wanted to put the enclosures to good use.

The US post office is closed today due to federal holiday (Veteran’s Day) but we will ship these out tomorrow morning.

Tbh feels pointless getting the sale updates, because they sell out immediately, and I’m not in a good timezone :joy:

I just put another one up in the store if you want to grab it. Someone accidentally ordered two and canceled one.

It took about an hour for us to sell out today. What time zone are you in? Maybe we can try to shift our sale time to be more convenient for more people in future.

Someone else picked that unit up but there will be more soon. We’ll have batch of both Ribbons and Sparks in late November / early December. We’ll share more info on the forum in the next couple weeks.

Thanks, I appreciate the heads up anyway :slight_smile: I’m in South Australia, I think these went on sale at 4am here, but it’s probably not possible to please everyone timewise.

Gotta come back here and thank you for the heads up on this, @iamdougpatterson! I snagged a Sparks from Perfect Circuit real quick. Now I’ve got both Kinotone pedals and am seriously so blown away. The envelope stuff on Sparks is bonkers. I’ve got all sorts of knobs going every different direction to different degrees and, man, it’s hard to explain how much this thing rips. Well done, @jaakjensen, @carl_cat, and the whole Kinotone crew. Eager to see what y’all cook up next!!!

Side note: One of my favorite things so far is putting my dual footswitch Broadcast before Sparks and setting the envelope sensitivity so I get three really distinct sounds based on whether the Broadcast is off, one the low gain channel, or on the high gain channel. It’s wild how much control Sparks gives you.
