I have been having volume issues while using the sinewave synth on the Ribbons. Basically, volume is dependent on the reverb mix amount: at 0% there is no sound, and the more I add reverb the more volume I get. So currently I cannot get a pure dry synth sound, only reverb-ed.

This is a setup issue. It sounds to me like you’re plugging Ribbons’ TRS stereo output into a TRS balanced input on an interface or mixer.
This will cause the left and right channels to be subtracted from one another. Because the synth signal is the same on the left and right, the end result will be no signal at all. You can hear it when you add reverb because the reverb is different on the left and right.
Solution: use a TS cable or a TRS to dual TS splitter into your interface or mixer.
And I thought I had understood everything about TS/TRS stuff, I guess I have still gaps to fill
