[Resolved] Ghost notes? (pun intended)

:waving_hand: got the ghost eating midi from a deluge and ive noticed that some of the notes i have the sequencer sending dont play, but if i use the audition/preview button the notes will play on the ghosts. any ideas why this could be occurring?

If Ghosts’ Model LED blinks, it’s receiving MIDI note-on messages. If it doesn’t blink, Ghosts isn’t receiving those notes.

Since the notes play reliably when you use the Deluge audition/preview button, Ghosts is responding correctly to the MIDI it receives. If some sequenced notes aren’t triggering, that points to something on the Deluge side (track routing/MIDI channel settings, conditional/probability triggers, etc.).

I’m not familiar enough with the Deluge to troubleshoot its sequencing behavior, but the LED check above should help you confirm whether those missing notes are actually being sent to Ghosts.

Don’t have a Deluge, but does the yellow next to the preview button mean that note is muted? From what I’m seeing in the video those are the only ones not working.

It does look like that column of buttons is labeled MUTE / Launch…

I just want to give a shout out to the Blokas Midi Hub. I was going to recommend picking one up, but you solved your issue. It has amazing midi routing, effects, and most surprisingly diagnostic features. Worth every penny for a Midi heavy rig. More pedal manufacturers should recommend it, mainly to lower their tech support questions, lol.

My Ghosts arrives tomorrow! Hopefully a Sparks soon after!
