When using the filters in a semi aggressive fashion to achieve the lo-fi effect. Alot of volume is lost because of the missing frequencies. I feel like the hpf specifically needs some make up gain. It doesnt need to be unity. it is fun to turn it off as an effect and get some volume back but currently the volume difference can be a little staggering.
On the topic i do wish the sweet spot was larger on the filters. I feel like they dont need to go to silence i dont understand the need for that. Someone can correct me if im wrong there maybe i just dont get it. But if they were just shy of silence on either end i feel like there would be a larger sweet spot to fun tones
Thanks for the feedback!
You can actually add up to +6dB of makeup gain using the hidden settings—just hold Bypass and turn the Mix knob. Full instructions are in the online manual.
Personally, I intentionally designed the filters to close completely. I use that behavior a lot in live performance—to fade out loops or create transitions—so I’d be disappointed if they didn’t go all the way to silence.
That said, I totally get that it might feel different coming from a more traditional tone knob background. To me, the sweet spots are there, especially with the larger knobs offering more precise control. But I appreciate you sharing your perspective—it’s always helpful to hear how different players are using it.
I didnt know that! That helps alot thank you so much for getting back to me so fast. I really appreciate the community youve fostered here and being able to communicate with you directly is fantastic
