Feature request: 4 track Mono Looper?

Just recived my ribbons, what a labour of love! the attention to the detail in the sound is wonderfull. Thanks!

What about the option to have the 4 track async loopers as 4 mono loops (L-R summed to mono) with independent pan (as my old tascam 4-track) and maybe (because they are mono and need less storage) double the recording time? So could 40 seconds at normal speed and 80 at half speed…
I think this would open up a lot the possibilities for the looper for soundscapes and textural creations! I´m using something “like” that with my monome norns and the independent pan is wonderfull doing movement and spatial sense, please consider it!

I think it’s an interesting request but Ribbons is pretty maxed out on button combos and available knobs. How do you propose we achieve pan per loop and the ability to switch between mono and stereo looping?

I think mono/stereo would be configurable using a MIDI CC. About pan I was thinking about that, maybe using the direction knob for pan and remake the speed knob so it have the forward speed moving clockwise from the center and reverse speeds counterclockwise, with the 2x at center? Something like the reverb mix knob. Or maybe something like double click bypass when in 4-track looper can reverse playback for selected track? (also MIDI CC for track1-4 pan!) what do you think?
