Contact microphones?

Just as there is a midi cable on the site, have you considered endorsing-or making one, for that matter-a contact microphone? I can imagine it would be a successful add-on product for the site.

For those of you yet inundated, the Ghosts manual does not encourage placing the pedal directly on cymbals and drum heads.

While we’re at it, is there one that anyone here would like to chime in as their tried and true? We’re talking an entry level or moderate boundary mic, lavaliers, or just some little discs that folks tape to plants and stuff?

This is the piezo mic we use inside the pedal.

You would have to solder it up to a quarter inch jack or cable to plug it into Ghosts.

There are also lots of listings online for products that already have a piezo mic soldered to a quarter inch jack + adhesive attached.

Any microphone + impedance adapter or preamp would also get you the same (or better) result.

If anyone is interested in a high-quality external contact mic from a bespoke builder (much like Kinotone!) I highly recommend Metal Marshmallow. These are the some of the best contact mics on the market in my opinion.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have since reviewed all his product videos.
Seems to me, the best value is in supporting his kickstarter. Baring everything else, you get 2 Morsel’s, which are more form fitting and perform comparably to his flagship design, provided you supply phantom power, which you get with the “campfire” mixer/fx processor. The mics themselves would have set you back about as much, but you also get a connection that complies with ghosts, not to mention a means of running parallel fx. The mixer can run on bus power or an internal battery, so you don’t loose much portability nor compete for ground.
