of all these ideas, ill echo what others have said here that i like the idea of some sort of degradation or effect amount (like maybe the wow and flutter page parameters combined? iono) being controlled with that fourth knob—so you could have some ‘cleaner’ sounds on one track and more effected on others.
i also like the idea of the track speed being scaleless (smooth)----my ideal setup would be a smooth tracks speed to replace the scaled, and the unassigned knob being an effect amount or degrade thing.
my 2 cents! having a lot o fun with this looper.

I’m going to just admit that the looper is my personal favorite feature of the Ribbons and the fact that you can then add and tweak all of the tape parameters on top of the loops is excellent.
My initial take on the preceding comments and suggestions for the 4th knob parameter are that I would personally hate to lose overdubbing, but it wouldn’t be a complete “dealbreaker” per se, depending on what the new parameter ends up being. I feel similarly about the 4th knob being used for either track speed/scale or even just a “mix amount” for the tape effects, that could be adjusted per loop.
